New Christian School Enrolling Students

Richmond, IN – Applications are now being received for a new private Christian school that launches in Richmond this fall.

“Richmond Academy will offer classes from preschool through grade 12,” said the Dr. S. Chad Ross, headmaster of the new school.  Dr. Ross has lived in Richmond all of his life and has worked with children and teenagers for the past ten years. He said he's been laying the groundwork for the school for the past twelve months after he felt a call to help meet the growing demand for private Christian education in the area.

"Wouldn't it be great if every neighborhood had a choice for their children to attend a quality school built on Christian values?" Ross said.

Ross said the school will also serve home school families by offering them access to school activities that normally are not an option for them.

Ross said that the school is an independent institution not directly affiliated with any church. “We are community supported.”

"As we have prepared to open, we have found a lot of interest among parents. This indicates a definite need," Ross said. "Our goal is to offer an environment that is dedicated to nurturing and challenging the whole person - body, mind and spirit - to the glory of God."

Dr. Ross’ vision for Richmond Academy is that God would make every provision for every family desiring a private Christian education and that God would provide to home school families academic assistance.

“Richmond Academy’s purpose is to nurture and develop the whole student – not just to educate young people for college; rather, we are preparing them for life,” Ross said. “We are a partnership of home and school, working together for the purpose of preparing students academically, spiritually and emotionally for the challenge of life.”

Dr. Ross has set up a Triune Fund for those who want to make financial contributions or donations to Richmond Academy.  At the end of the 2003-2004 school year, there will be a plaque with all of the names of those who have given and their club.
